Frequently Asked Questions
- How does the Seasonal Arena II top-8 card ban work?
- Per Supercell's official Seasonal Trophy Road support page, when you advance from Seasonal Arena I to Arena II, the top 8 cards you won with most in Arena I are auto-banned from your decks for the rest of the season. The ban list is personal to each player, based on their Arena I win counts. Cards in your Arena II deck are also boosted to a minimum of Level 15 for matchmaking.
- How accurate is the Ban Simulator?
- The Ban Simulator filters our real meta-deck database for decks that contain none of your selected ban cards, ranked by win rate and pick rate. The deck data comes from the same source as the Meta Tracker and Deck Finder — RoyaleAPI-style aggregated ladder data. The Beta label applies until 48 hours after the May 26 patch ships, when we validate behavior against the live system.
- When should I use the Ban Simulator?
- Use it before stepping into Seasonal Arena II. The optimal flow: pick a primary archetype for the Arena I climb, then use the Ban Simulator to pre-plan a secondary archetype that doesn't share any cards with your primary. The simulator surfaces both fully-playable decks (zero overlap with your ban list) and partial-overlap decks (1-2 shared cards, viable with substitutions).
- Why are some popular archetypes incompatible with the ban?
- Archetypes like Hog 2.6, Goblin Drill Cycle, and Xbow 2.9 share many card overlaps with the most-played meta decks. If you climbed Arena I with Hog 2.6 you'll likely have Hog Rider, Cannon, Ice Spirit, Skeletons, Musketeer, Ice Golem, Fireball, and Log on your ban list — virtually every Hog Cycle variant is banned. Pick a secondary archetype with zero card overlap (e.g., LavaLoon vs Hog 2.6).
- Does the level-15 boost help my under-leveled cards?
- Yes. Every card in your Arena II deck is matchmaking-boosted to a minimum of Level 15 stats. Cards already at Level 15+ use their real level. This means under-leveled accounts can experiment with off-meta cards at competitive stats — making the Arena II environment dramatically more open than Arena I for F2P players.
- Will the ban list change mid-season?
- No. Once you cross into Seasonal Arena II, the top-8 card ban list is locked for the remainder of the season. Playing additional Arena I games after the snapshot does not update the ban list. At the start of each new season, Arena I resets and a fresh ban list will be calculated when you next reach Arena II.
